GENERAL INFORMATION

The Orbea Alma 27 M-Team is a performance hardtail cross-country bike that can gun for the podium on today’s tough terrain. The Alma is made for hitting your fastest lap times, flying up steep climbs, and separating from the pack. Smaller 27.5-inch wheels make for more nimble and reliable navigation of difficult terrain. Despite its lack of a full suspension, this bike is as good on descents as it is on climbs. This version is equipped with a Shimano XTR groupset which is established as one of the best trail groups on the market. The Orbea Alma is a lightweight, responsive, and fun cross-country bike that is perfect for the fiercest competitors who want an edge on any trail.

The frame of the Alma is made with the Orbea Monocoque Race carbon fiber. OMR carbon is the most technologically advanced material that Orbea mountain bikes are made with. Sheets of carbon are cut using a laser which are then bonded to make a frame without any overlap or excess material. This process is long and painstaking but is the reason the Alma has such a great balance of low weight and stiffness. The 4x4 Dynamic Structure helps mitigate stress from fast cornering and trail vibration to keep proper control and traction. A neutral flex point is created in the top tube, adding a fourth bend for an efficient and smooth ride.

The Orbea Alma is made with World Cup geometry to reflect the evolution of elite racing. A slacker head angle leads to stability on today’s more difficult cross-country terrain. A steeper seat angle and lower stack height gives riders better handling and higher pedaling efficiency. Short chainstays lead to better efficiency and more stability. The front of the frame is equipped with a Fox 32 Float Factory fork which comes with 100mm of front travel to balance out the rigid feel of the bike. The Orbea Alma 27 M-Team is at the top of the heap in high-performance cross-country.
