The Orbea Alma 27 OMR Frameset is the starting point for creating your perfect cross-country hardtail bike. This frame is made with the Orbea Monocoque Race carbon fiber. OMR carbon is the most technologically advanced material that Orbea mountain bikes are made with. Sheets of carbon are cut using a laser which are then bonded to make a frame without any overlap or excess material. This process is long and painstaking but is the reason the Alma has such a great balance of low weight and stiffness. The 4x4 Dynamic Structure helps mitigate stress from fast cornering and trail vibration to keep proper control and traction. A neutral flex point is created in the top tube, adding a fourth bend for an efficient and smooth ride.

The Orbea Alma is made with World Cup geometry to reflect the evolution of elite racing. A slacker head angle leads to stability on today’s more difficult cross-country terrain. A steeper seat angle and lower stack height gives riders better handling and higher pedaling efficiency. Short chainstays lead to better efficiency and more stability. The front of the frame can be equipped with the rigid Spirit fork or a suspension fork to add some compliance and travel.
