The Cannondale F-Si HM 1 is the perfect way to dominate the trails at a lower price than its World Cup counterpart. Cannondale designed the F-Si to provide the best balance of climbing and descending in an ultra-lightweight frame. This bike is a brilliant sprinter, stable through technical terrain, and has extremely confident handling. Any rider who is ready to rip through a cross-country race or make the most out of their casual day on the trail can have a great time on the Cannondale F-Si HM 1.
The Hi-Mod carbon frame of the Cannondale F-Si makes for one of the lightest mountain bikes in the world. Hi-Mod is Cannodale’s highest level of BallisTec carbon fiber, helping this frame weigh in at just 900 grams. That is a 300 gram drop in weight from the previous model. The new Lefty Ocho fork is responsible for a huge amount of that reduction, coming in at 250 grams lighter than its previous iteration. This single-sided fork is not only very lightweight, but also adds strength, stiffness, and responsive steering. With race-tuned stiffness and a smooth suspension with low friction, the Lefty Ocho fork tops off an extremely impressive frame.
The geometry of the Cannondale F-Si promotes race-quality performance. It is longer and lower, increasing the reach of the headtube slightly for the best control. A low flat back gives centered weight distribution, letting you stay in your most efficient race position without losing any stability or control. The Ai offset drivetrain helps keep the chainstays very short for traction and agility, especially on climbs. An integrated seat binder allows for more length on the seatpost which provides some extra comfort on this hardtail machine. From top to bottom, the F-Si is designed to keep you moving at a blazing fast pace without losing an ounce of comfort or control.
A smooth ride quality is imperative for cross-country riders and the F-Si delivers on that need. Race-tuned stiffness provides outstanding power transfer of flat ground while delivering a smooth feel and proper dissipation of energy from bumps and vibration. Flat mount disc brakes add to that smooth quality, providing modulated stopping power in all weather conditions along with heat dissipation. This version is equipped with a SRAM Eagle 12-speed groupset for some of the very best mechanical shifting on the market. The Cannondale F-Si HM 1 is a great choice for anyone from top-level racers to weekend warriors.
